YOU'LL BEE MISSED

Hello, this is my last post until after Christmas so I wish everybody a Merry Christmas.

I am looking forward to Spring - I have never liked Winter it is either too cold or too wet.   This is a digi from Pink Petticoat and there is a series of "bee" images which will appear on here at intervals as I think they are cute.  I used Promarkers for a little colour and stickled the wings.

I used one of the outlines from the new D'lites Spellbinders to cut out the image.  The embossing folder is called Flowering Spring and as I used Core'dinations card, I lightly sanded the embossing and went over the raised surface with colour to make it stand out.

Cyclamen

Hello, today's card features the cyclamen stamp from the same Cyclamen stamp set by Chocolate Baroque as Wednesday's post.  I have also coloured this with Copics.

I have used Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight and Labels Eight to create mats for the image, a Martha Stewart Frond punch for the leaves and Memory Box's Valencia Border die.

The backing paper is from Prima's Fairy Flora 6x6 paper pad.

Orchid

Hello, the image on this card is from a set of stamps by Chocolate Baroque called Cyclamen and it looks like a Cymbidium orchid to me.  I have coloured it with Copics for a change.

The paper is from a Papermania Summer Bloom 8x8 pad.

Frolic

Hello, today I have one of my favourite PB stamps - Frolic.  I was clearing out some of my very old stamps and this was amongst them, I did wonder where I had put it!!

I have used Spellbinders Nestabilities to cut out all the elements to make a change from squares and the MFT flower die from the Flower and Leaf trio.  The flourish is from a Cheery Lynn die.

If you are going Christmas shopping, I hope you have a successful trip.

Christmas Candle

Hello, it is really cold here today and there is thick frost on all the cars and houses,  brrrrr!

Today I have my last Christmas card make of 2012.  The image is from LOTVs Mini Masterpieces 10 and these have been invaluable for my cards this year.

The holly die is Cheery Lynn's Mega Holly Flourish and the snowflake is the largest of the dies in Spellbinders Shapeabilities 2012 Snowflake Pendant.

Destination

Hello, today I have a birthday card using one of my favourite stamps by Sheena Douglass.

I stamped and embossed the image with Stormy Sky Distress Ink and Embossing powder as I like the rough texture these embossing powders give to the image when making cards for boys.

The background paper is by Maja Designs and the card and sentiment are by Kanban.

Christmas Bauble

I can show this Christmas card as it is safely in the hands of the recipients.

The holly spray is stamped using a Clarity stamp holly stamp inspired by a workshop I did with Paul Church who designs for Clarity.  The images are coloured with Promarkers and Stickles added here and there.

The bauble is a die by Memory Box and it took me several goes before I was happy with the placement of the letters.

Milton with Lily

Hello, today I have a very bright card seeing as it is a very dull day here in Kent and absolutely pouring down.  I am thankful however, that it is not snowing and causing the problems other people are having.

This is from a pack of printed panels by Wild Rose Studios and is extremely useful for quick cards as they are very close to hand-coloured.

The greenery is a Cheery Lynn die and the flowers are an MFT die.  Looking at it now I think it needs pearls in the middles of the flowers so I shall away and add them.

Present Kitty

Hello, today I have a birthday card using one of the new releases by LOTV called Present Kitty.  I have used Promarkers to colour the image.

The flowers and greenery have been die cut using Memory Box dies and the papers used are by Bo Bunny.

It is lovely not having to make any more Christmas cards for this year but it seems to be taking forever to write them!

Hedge-word

Hello, today I have the card I made for my Dad's Birthday.  He doesn't do fussy so I have kept it quite simple.  He likes playing music so I used the Memory Box die and the Penny Black image which suits the kraft colour.

This card made a change from over 50 Christmas cards I have made.

Holly & Berries Spray

Hello, today I have a Christmas card using the Christmas Holly & Berries Spray stamp by Jayne Nestorenko and I coloured the image with Promarkers.

The wreath is cut from green card using a Dees Distinctively Die.

Looking at it now, I think I used too much glitter on the berries!  Oh well it cannot be removed now without scratching the card so I will have to live with it.

Posy Bouquet

Hello, today I have another card I designed for J&C Creations using the Heartfelt Creations Lilacs/Posy Bouquet stamp set (HCPC3495) and Posy Patch Clusters (HCPC3305) from the Posy Patch collection.

I used Copic Ciao's to colour the image on coconut card and the separately cut out flowers which were stamped onto paper and shaped before attaching to the image.

The coconut card was die cut using Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Eight (S5-019) before stamping.  The background mat was die cut using Spellbinders Nestabilities Decorative Elements Labels Eight (S5-148) from holographic silver card.

The black card is Core'dinations Black Magic Potion No 9 and lightly sanded after embossing with a floral folder.

I have used the postage stamp nestabilities to die cut sections from the paper.

Flora Grande

Hello, I have another card I designed for J&C Creations using Heartfelt Creations Flora Grande 2 stamp set.

Using the smallest flower stamp 5 flowers onto yellow pearl paper using a Memento Cantaloupe dye ink pad and cut out.  Go over the lines with a Promarker Sunflower pen to define the petals better.

Die cut a lattice using the Spellbinders Shapeabilities Expandable Patterns Basic Lattice die (S5-151) from brown pearl card to resemble a wooden trellis.

Die cut some of the foliage from Spellbinders Shapeabilities Foliage Two (S5-129) and arrange these and the flowers on the "trellis".  I used Stickles Glitter Glue in Orange Peel for the flower centres.

All the items in red are available from J&C Creations on-line shop.

The background paper is from a First Edition Hideaway pad.

Ruby Anniversary

Hello, today I am showing the card I made for my dear friend's Ruby Wedding Anniversary today - not that the colour gives it away!  I hope it is safe to post it now as they rise very early in the morning and will be preparing for loads of guests arriving later.

The fronds are a new Magnolia DooHickey die called Sprawling Ferns but to me they look a bit like feathers.

Distressed Birthday

Hello, today I have a birthday card using Fishtail dies and Core'dinations card.  I have distressed all the turquoise card.  I am not sure now about the colour of the raffia though.

Gold Tatters

Hello, today I am posting another card created for J&C Creations (phone 01622 729154 to check for availability of the items I have used).

The backing paper is Script Pointsettia by Penny Black on cream card.

The white pearl card is embossed with a snowflake embossing folder and inked over with a glue pad so the raised parts are sticky and then sprinkled with gold glitter.

The snowflakes are cut from gold mirror card using Spellbinders Shapeabilities 2012 Snowflake Pendant (S5-117).  I have used the middle die and the small die together top right of the card and the largest die is under the flower which is die cut using a Sizzix Bigz die - Tim Holtz Alterations Tattered Florals.

I cut the first flower using red mirror card and the second using gold laced material.  To assemble, match the material die cut onto the mirror card die cut and then glue them together.

The sentiment is from Tim Holtz idea-ology Seasonal chitchat stickers.

The flower is a Gardenia (plus added glitter glue) from Wild Orchid Craft and the leaves die cut using silver mirror card and Marianne Creatables Mistletoe Twigs (LR0245).

Unfortunately the sentiment doesn't show up very well but it is from the Penny Black T for Transparent set Christmas Cheer using pink pigment ink.

Blue Anniversary

Hello, this is the second anniversary card I made.

I have used a page from Bo Bunny Weekend Market Collection with a die cut image from Little Clair which I bought at the Sincerely Yours craft show in Biggin Hill in September.  The words are cut using Britannia dies again.

This one is a bit LIM for me and another reason why I don't enjoy doing men's cards particularly - I like flowers not wooden buttons with a bit of twine!

Pink Anniversary

Hello, I have been away for the weekend down to Battle.  The hotel was very comfortable but apart from Saturday, the weather was awful!  We couldn't walk the battleground at Battle Abbey because the rain had turned it into a quagmire and it had been closed on safety grounds!  Still, it was a lovely rest.

Today's card uses an old Hobby Art wooden stamp called Blooming and has been coloured with Polychromos pencils with Sansodor.  The background pink foiled card is Hunkydory and the paper Spring Flowers from cArt-Us.

The flower is 2 die cuts from the middle-sized Tattered Blossoms die from Heartfelt Creations and available from J&C Creations.  The leaves are from the Magnolia Doohickey Leaf and Swirl die.

The "Happy Anniversary" has been cut using Britannia word dies.

The backing paper is by Best Creation (GP172) and the white snowflake cut from foundation paper.  All these are available from J&C.  The backing card is Core'dinations.
