The flowers and ribbon are from stash and the doily is cut from a Marianne Creatables Doily Round (LR0168).

Evening Star

Hello, the image on my card is of a stamp issued as part of the Royal Mail stamp set Great British Railways to mark the 50th anniversary of the building of British Rail's last ever steam locomotive, which was the Evening Star (9F Class).

My DIL kindly cut the clock face and bolts with her Eclips for me.  We used Core'dinations card and I varnished them instead of sanding because they were a bit "delicate" and a heavy hand would have torn the clock.  We think they would have worked better with normal card as the Core'dinations card seemed to 'stretch' whilst being cut.

The hands are from a Tim Holtz idea-ology set and I have distressed all with Old Paper.

I have always loved steam trains, as do my Father and Brother, which being the age I am, are real trains to me.  I can remember one summer holiday spent with my Nan down in Lancing when my cousin and I sat on the footbridge of Lancing station breathing in the smuts as the trains went under because we loved the smell.  Not very good for our lungs but ... then we rushed up to the Downs and breathed in all the fresh air!  Nostalgia!!

Wedding Anniversary

Hello, today I am showing a card which was made for a very special couple who celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary this year which is some achievement.

I made the flowers out of crepe paper but used a Marianne die for the leaves.

Surprise!

Hello, the image on my card today is Penny Black's Surprise!  It has been coloured with Copics for a change.

I was getting a bit tired of mauves and pinks so decided to use the flower pots for reference instead and I quite like the way it has turned out.

The beautiful gold glitter is sold by Glitter Magic and is really gorgeous in real life because it is a mixture of golds.  They have loads of lovely colours!

Discovery

Hello, today my card features part of the Discovery stamp from Sheena Douglass' Little Bit Sketchy range.  I have embossed it using black fine powder to give more detail.

The edges have all been distressed and everything sponged with Distress ink Old Paper and looking at it now, I think the sentiment will have to be sponged as well as it stands out too much.

The button has a compass on it but it doesn't show up very well here.

Twining Clematis

Hello, my card today is one I designed for J&C Creations using a Heartfelt Creations stamp.  This one is Twining Clematis and is available from their on-line shop where they have a very good range of both the stamps and accompanying dies which Heartfelt Creations produce with Spellbinders.

If you have not tried them before, these sets are all pre-cut and foam-backed ready for stamping and they give very good impressions which are easy to colour and decoupage.

The flower is a Crealies Flower die (22), the butterfly is a Marianne Creatables die (Butterfly 3 - LR0115) and the doily is Spellbinders Nestabilities Splendid Circles (S4-354) which  J&C Creations  also stock but you will need to phone them on 01622 729 154 for more information  as the website is currently being updated.

Distressed Daisies

Hello, my card today uses the same digital image as the card I published on 14th May but it has been coloured with Tim Holtz Distress Markers instead.

The trellis behind the flowers is cut from Memory Box's Tessatina Border die and the sentiment is one of the new ones from LOTV.

Purple Doily

Hello, my card today features doilies, die cuts and embossing!

The two iridescent ones and the purple foiled one are both done using Marianne Creatables dies.

The central flower has been glittered with Silver Fran.tage Halo Glitter mix which can be bought from J&C Creations.  I used a glue pen to go over the embossed middle of the flower and sprinkled the glitter over.

Unfortunately, the beautiful sparkle effect of these glitters doesn't show up particularly well in this photo though.

Penny Black cat

Hello, Today's card has an image from Penny Black given away with a card magazine but it was so long ago I cannot remember which one.  I have coloured the image with Promarkers.

The flowers are made from crepe paper and I have used the "leaves" on the paper from Prima's Alla-Prima.

Hello, today my card features the Memory Box La Rue heart die.  The paper is from Basic Grey's Kissing Booth papers.

I have used the embossing folder to deboss which I think shows up the detail better.
